About Me:
I’m especially passionate about working with children and women, and I have specialized training—as well as personal experience—supporting individuals facing infertility and maternal mental health challenges. If you’re going through a major life transition—whether related to relationships, faith, career, or parenting—I’m here to listen and support you.
In my work with clients navigating infertility, I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also have training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have completed Gottman Level I training for marriage counseling. Most recently I completed my training in ERP (exposure and response prevention), it’s the gold standard treatment for OCD. I work with both children and adults experiencing OCD.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Parent Educator and Pre-K teacher, which gave me a strong foundation in early childhood development and family relationships—areas I still love working in today.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah and a Master of Social Work from Utah State University. My background includes work in school systems, including roles as a Parent Educator and Pre-Kindergarten teacher with Salt Lake City School District, and as a School Social Work intern with Murray City School District.
I began my counseling career at the Utah Infertility Resource Center as a Master of Social Work intern and was officially hired after graduation. My own experience with infertility has deepened my passion for helping others navigate the complex emotions and challenges that come with family building.
Additionally, parenting a child with special needs has given me insight into the gaps in support available to families. I understand how overwhelming and isolating this experience can be. I work with parents in similar situations to reduce stress and foster stronger connections with their children.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Therapy is a sacred space, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
