About Me:

I’ve had a life-long fascination with people. When I was a teenager, I would turn on the computer to start my homework and instead lose myself for hours reading articles on psychology and human behavior. When I took a psychology class in high school, I enthusiastically crafted a neuron out of buttons and glitter glue and brought my family dog to class to demonstrate behavioral conditioning. This passion grew into a dream of becoming a clinical social worker.

In my work with children, I strongly believe that involving parents is the key to helping a child thrive. I utilize play, parent coaching, role play, and psycho-education. In my work with teens and adults, I believe in digging in to find out what’s behind your struggles, leaning in to feel your feelings, and then making it count by changing your behavior. In my work with couples, I believe that our romantic relationships reveal our rough edges. I help couples see how their conflict exposes where they each need to grow and give them the tools to build an intimate partnership.

I have personal experience with infertility and am one of the founding members of Utah Infertility Resource Center. I am an adoptive mother and have personal experience navigating non-genetic parenting and loving a child with developmental trauma. Life has thrown many challenges my way and I continually walk my own path of healing. Before adopting my oldest son, I worked as a social worker in skilled nursing facilities, home health care, and with at-risk children.

I believe the work done in therapy is one of the most important things a person can do - I am always honored to be a part of someone’s journey. I would be delighted to work with you and for us to learn and grow together.
