Individual therapy for adults in Salt Lake City, Utah
Our approach is practical, respectful, and grounded in experience. At Anthology Counseling, we provide individual therapy for adults who are processing loss, redefining their identities, or simply trying to manage the stress that comes with doing too much for too long.
Looking for support?
Life doesn't always go how we expect it to, does it? If you are facing transitions in your life, whether that's within relationships, faith, career or parenting, we are here to listen. Life brings changes, many of them unexpected and difficult to navigate alone. If you're facing grief, divorce, shifts in your relationships, or the physical and emotional changes of menopause, therapy can offer space to make sense of it all—and a way forward.
What is therapy at Anthology Counseling like?
We don't believe there is one right way to do therapy. We don’t even believe that therapy is the only path to healing or wholeness. Most of us have had experiences in the outdoors or conversations with loved ones (or even strangers) that have changed our perspective or provided a dose of hope when we needed it. One time I (Whitney) even picked up a book of poetry and flipped the pages open to a poem then spoke directly to me. It was like a little nudge that reminded me of what I already knew and pushed me towards a decision it was (past time) to make.
Our therapists draw from evidence-based approaches while paying attention to the person sitting in front of us. We consider your relationships, family, culture, identity, history, values, and the systems you're navigating—not just a list of symptoms.
Our work is practical, relational, and collaborative.

Why Anthology Counseling?
The name Anthology nods to the beauty of layered stories, and to the idea of the palimpsest—a manuscript that's been written over, but never fully erased. Healing doesn’t mean starting from scratch. It means making room for new lines while honoring the ones that got you here. Anthology Counseling Collective is a group therapy practice in Salt Lake City, Utah. M’Recia Seegmiller CSW
Hello there, I’m M’Recia (pronounced like “Teresa” with an M). I love being a therapist. I am very extroverted and thrive on connecting with others. I am deeply curious and my desire to know more never seems to be satisfied. I am particularly skilled supporting individuals navigating life challenges like faith expansion, divorce, trauma, infertility and body image.
More recently my clinical interests and deep dives have lead me to explore neurodivergence (ADHD and Autism), and the best ways to support those of us with brains that strive on novelty, quick thinking and dopamine. I have been told I have a talent for making skills practical and concrete. I’d love to get set up a session to see if we are a fit.
Kara Bailey, ACMHC
Hi there. I specialize in working with young adults navigating big life decisions, and LGBTQIA+ people. If you're a young adult feeling overwhelmed by next steps, I'd love to support you. If you are looking for a safe and inclusive environment to explore your identity and relationships, I'd love to help you think and feel your way through. My approach relies on concrete skill-building to address anxiety, depression, family conflict, and communication issues.
